This Refund Policy applies to all paid subscription plans purchased through Recordsafe ("the Service"), operated by Record Safe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Subscription Model
Recordsafe operates on a recurring subscription basis. Plans are billed either monthly or annually, depending on the option you select at checkout. All prices are displayed inclusive of VAT where applicable.
2. Free Trial Period
Certain plans include a free trial period. During the trial you have full access to the plan's features at no charge. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged. If you do not cancel, the subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period.
3. Cancellation
3.1 How to Cancel
You may cancel your subscription at any time through:
- Your account Settings page on the Recordsafe dashboard
- The billing portal provided by our payment partner
- Contacting our support team at support@recordsafe.io
3.2 Effect of Cancellation
When you cancel your subscription:
- You will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
- No further charges will be made after the current period ends
- Your account will not be deleted — you can resubscribe at any time
4. Refund Policy
4.1 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with Recordsafe for any reason, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase or subscription payment.
To request a refund, contact us at support@recordsafe.io with your account details. Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days to your original payment method.
4.2 After 14 Days
Subscriptions cancelled after the 14-day refund period will not receive a refund for the current billing cycle. However, you will retain access to all paid features until the end of your current billing period, and no further charges will be made.
4.3 Billing Errors
If you have been charged incorrectly due to a system error — for example, a duplicate charge, a charge after cancellation, or an incorrect amount — you are entitled to a full refund of the erroneous charge. Please contact us immediately with your payment reference and we will resolve the issue promptly.
4.4 Service Outages
If the Service experiences significant downtime (more than 48 consecutive hours) that prevents you from using paid features, you may request a pro-rata credit or refund for the affected period.
5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please email support@recordsafe.io with the following information:
- Your registered email address
- The date and amount of the charge
- Your payment reference or transaction ID (if available)
We aim to respond to all refund requests within 3 business days.
6. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed through the same payment method used for the original transaction. Refunds are processed by our payment partner, Paddle, and typically appear in your account within 5–10 business days.
Refunds are issued in the original currency of the transaction. Any exchange-rate differences or bank fees are outside our control and are not covered by Recordsafe.
7. Plan Changes
If you upgrade or downgrade your plan mid-cycle:
- Upgrades take effect immediately. You are charged the pro-rated difference for the remainder of your billing period.
- Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period. No partial refund is given for the current cycle.
8. Annual Subscriptions
For annual subscriptions, the 14-day money-back guarantee applies to the initial purchase. After 14 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable for the remainder of the annual term. You will retain access to all features until your annual subscription expires.
9. Chargebacks
We encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card provider. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in your account being suspended pending investigation.
10. Payment by Wire Transfer or Invoice
Orders paid via wire transfer or invoice follow the same refund policy outlined above. Please ensure you provide correct payment details and reference numbers to avoid delays in processing.
11. Consumer Rights
If you are a consumer (purchasing for personal use rather than business use), this refund policy does not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws. You retain all rights provided to consumers under the laws of your jurisdiction.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers via email at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
